Workgroups

Workgroups of the BRIDGE Collaborative are established as needed for the purpose of obtaining input at the individual or provider level about the value of services affecting or provided to children and families in Olmsted County.

Role of Workgroups

Collaborative work-groups advise the Steering Committee on the planning and coordination of services to children, adolescents and families that:

  • Enhances the quality of all elements of the family and mental health service delivery system, promoting the use of evidence-based practices.

  • Improves the efficiency of use of existing resources and seeks out additional resources.

  • Works to remove barriers for children, adolescents and families to access family and mental health services.

  • Encourages active parent participation in decisionmaking.

  • Promotes community awareness of the needs of children, adolescents and families and the resources that impact access to family and mental health services.

  • Filters proposals and generates ideas.

SCHOOL BASED MENTAL HEALTH

Workgroup Aim: Support integration of mental health services across providers in school districts/cultures in a way that supports financial sustainability.



Diversity, Equity,Inclusion

Workgroup Aim: The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Workgroup of the BRIDGE Collaborative is established for the purpose of hearing from the community at the individual or provider level about the value of services affecting or provided to children and families in Olmsted County through the lens of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

EARLY CHILDHOOD

Workgroup Aim: Promote healthy infant, child and adolescent development by minimizing exposure to harmful and prolonged stress.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH/CRISIS INTERVENTION

Workgroup Aim: Create pathways of behavioral health services that support youth from entrance to exit and that assure continuity of care.

Committments of a workgroup:

  • 1-1.5 hours per month

  • Have personal or professional interest or experiece working together in community

  • Be comfortable with open, direct and constructive communication

  • Be able to actively participate in person or online meetings
